Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This osprey caught it's trout on the opposite side of the lake from where I was watching. Too far to get a good shot, even with my longest lens. So imagine my delight when it decided to fly toward me and over me with it's catch in it's talons! Ospreys are such magnificent birds of prey. It was my privelege to watch this one catch and fly away with it's dinner.
