Description
Fall Creek Falls is a fan type waterfall that cascades fifty feet over a rocky basalt cliff in the Umpqua National Forest in southern Oregon. The hike to this waterfall is filled with interesting sights, including a traverse through a rock crevice which is not more than three feet wide.Fall creek is a beautiful, clear mountain stream with quite a steep descent down to the river. The creek cascades over large boulders in many places and is visible from the trail on the way to the waterfall. Creeks, streams, rivers, waterfalls and old growth forests make the Umqua River canyon an enchanted place with an abundance of natural beauty. And, with nearly eighty miles of trails along the river, it is an area made for adventure and exploration.
