Driving home after a lovely day of shooting photos in the mountains, I suddenly noticed this sky. Being on a two lane road with very narrow shoulders, the only place I could find to pull over was an open gate to a pasture. As I was totally "focused" on the beautiful sky before me, I failed to notice that my car was blocking the rancher from exiting the gate. He was very kind when asking me to relocate my car, and I still managed to capture the sunset before the light faded. This image was captured from Gazelle-Callahan Road, near Mack's Gulch Road in Siskiyou County, northern California. Many thanks to the patient rancher who made this shot possible.
